Foreshore Summer Management CCTV

♦ Foreshore Summer Management CCTV – City of Port Phillip is seeking Foreshore Summer Management CCTV solutions.

City of Port Phillip has been considering the importance and value of CCTV in its foreshore area for many years, wrestling with extensions to its public surveillance cameras, as well as undertaking ongoing partnerships with Victoria Police.

Council installs temporary CCTV cameras for the St Kilda Festival as a component of the event security strategy, this also includes setting up the CCTV network, all links, staff and management. Cameras are installed across the whole St Kilda Festival site.

Council reserves the right not to accept the lowest or any tender and said that tenders received after the closing time or by hardcopy, email or facsimile will not be considered.

The foreshore has been identified as a “crowded place” in the Australia-New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee’s report ‘Australia’s Strategy for Protecting Crowded Places from Terrorism’. The report calls on councils as responsible land managers to decrease the risk factors of an attack. In response, Council has implemented fixed infrastructure, pop-up bollards and boom gates in certain locations within the St Kilda foreshore precinct.

The tender for Foreshore Summer Management CCTV closes July 1 – you can find out more here.
