AXIS M5000 PTZ Camera
♦ AXIS M5000 PTZ Camera – The M5000 PTZ camera from Axis Communications features three 5 MP sensors and a PTZ camera with 10x optical zoom for situational awareness of indoor areas up to 400 m2, all supported by Zipstream.
The M5000 features 10x optical zoom, autofocus capabilities and day/night functionality, while edge storage lets you record directly to an onboard memory card.
There’s a 1/2.8-inch progressive scan RGB CMOS sensor, the PTZ features a 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30ips, and has a 4.7–47 mm varifocal lens with an aperture of F1.6–3.0 offering a horizontal field of view between 61.8–6.7 degrees.
The PTZ has 100 preset positions, limited guard tour, control queue, on-screen directional indicator, E-flip, click-in-image, the system on chip is ARTPEC-7 and there’s compression options of H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10/AVC), baseline, main and high profiles, and H.265 (MPEG-H Part 2/HEVC) and Motion JPEG main profile.
Resolution PTZ camera:
Meanwhile, the 5MP day/night overview cameras have focal lengths of 2.39mm at an aperture of F2.0, giving a combined angle of view of 360-degrees. The overview cameras have a 2592 x 1944-pixel maximum resolution at 12ips and offer video streaming of multiple, individually configurable streams in H.264, H.265 and Motion JPEG. There’s controllable frame rate and bandwidth options handled by VBR/ABR/MBR H.264/H.265 and a video streaming indicator.
Image settings include saturation, contrast, brightness, sharpness, WDR – forensic capture, white balance, day/night threshold, tone mapping, exposure mode, exposure zones, compression, text and image overlay, polygon privacy masks, image freeze on PTZ, local contrast, max shutter, max gain, noise/motion priority, aperture lock and exposure level. Scene profiles are indoor or forensic and audio streaming is 2-way, full duplex, with audio encoding being 24-bit LPCM, AAC-LC 8/16/32/44.1 kHz, G.711 PCM 8 kHz or G.726.
Analytics applications include AXIS Loitering Guard, AXIS Video Motion Detection, audio detection, shock detection, advanced gatekeeper, and AXIS Cross Line Detection.
The camera is rated IP51, has a repaintable housing made of PVC free poly, and has an operating temperature range from 40C to 65C, requires PoE Type 2 Class 4 with a typical draw of 7.4W and a maximum of 13W, or 20–28V DC (6.5W typical or 11.9W maximum). The dimensions of the unit of 138mm high and 247mm wide and the array weighs 1.95kg.
