Based on Dahua’s deep learning algorithms, Dahua’s face recognition is a feature that automatically captures faces in real time and compares or adds faces to a pre-defined list for appropriate action such as generating alerts for established matches.

Users can leverage the module’s database for precise detection and recognition rates, and can incorporate functions such as face detection, face comparison, intelligent search, information display, and more.

Face recognition can be deployed in many Dahua products from the WizMind series, to IP intercoms, to CCTV cameras including their new 12MP fisheye camera.

“Face recognition has become a growing demand for AI applications in the surveillance market,” according to Anitha Bellary, DAS group manager for surveillance. “It can help streamline business operations as it enhances access control and identifies key clients or staff members.”

DAS’ Dahua product manager Ardel Moore highlights the precision and efficiency of face recognition for video surveillance.

“Thanks to the dedicated AI research and development team, Dahua face recognition offers up to 98 per cent detection rate and can be an integral AI feature for high-traffic verticals including public transport stations, public streets, airports, and shopping centres,” Moore said.
