TAKEX Releases New PB-60TX Beam – New from TAKEX, the PB-60TX is a next-generation photoelectric beam sensor designed for improved performance, easy alignment, and reduced power consumption.
“Building on the legacy of the established PB-TE twin beam series, PB-60TX incorporates a number of innovative features to enhance security and user experience,” said TAKEX America’s Melbourne-based technical sales manager, Sanjay Tendulkar.
“The PB-60TX delivers a 53 per cent reduction in energy consumption compared to previous models, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance. Additionally, the unit features a user-friendly sound check function for effortless alignment, optional anti-bird spikes, together with a drip-proof housing and self-sealing grommets for enhanced insect and weather resistance. The PB-60TX introduces a secondary real-time alarm output mode, opening it up to new applications such as people counting.”
According to Tendulkar, the beam features TAKEX’s double modulation beam technology, which ensures operational stability by significantly reducing the likelihood of false activations caused by ambient light.
“There are 4 selectable frequencies to allow for multiple beam sets without interference, ideal for linear configurations,” Tendulkar said. “Meanwhile, its selectable beam power (30m or 60m) and ±95-degree horizontal and ±10-degree vertical optical adjustment allows it to adapt to site-specific requirements, making the PB-60TX a flexible choice for any intruder detection application.
“The PB-60TX creates a perfectly defined invisible line of detection between 2 points, commonly used to signal intrusion events across driveways, gateways and courtyards, or mounted to sides of buildings to cover single or multiple windows and doors. This sensor is great for domestic, industrial, and prestigious applications, providing exceptional catch performance for zones up to 60m.”
