Lendlease Seeks Temporary CCTV and Security Solution For Hunter Street Station.
Lendlease Seeks Temporary CCTV and Security – Lendlease Construction has released a tender for the design, supply, installation and operation of a temporary CCTV and site security system for the Hunter Street Station component of the Sydney Metro West project.
The tender calls for contractors with demonstrated experience delivering security systems on major infrastructure projects, reflecting the scale and complexity of the site.
The scope is centred on construction-phase security, with requirements for CCTV, intrusion detection and monitored back-to-base alarm systems across both surface and work areas. The system is expected to provide continuous monitoring of a live, high-risk construction environment in the Sydney CBD, where access control, asset protection and safety oversight are critical.
The Hunter Street Station site sits within a dense urban footprint bounded by George, Hunter, O’Connell and Bligh streets, introducing challenges around constrained access, high pedestrian volumes and proximity to existing commercial and transport infrastructure. Quality CCTV, alarms and rapid alarm response and integration with site operations will be key.

While the system is described by Lendlease as temporary, the operational requirements are consistent with large-scale infrastructure, including protection of plant and materials, monitoring of site perimeters and work zones, and support for incident investigation.
Construction of Hunter Street Station is expected to commence in late 2026, forming part of the wider Sydney Metro West program scheduled for completion in 2032.
This Lendlease Seeks Temporary CCTV And Security closes on 14 June 2026 – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
