Alta Intercom Touch Available From Sektor – Avigilon has expanded its Alta cloud-native security platform with the release of the Alta Intercom Touch, a combined video intercom, access control reader and door controller designed for modern commercial entry points.

Available locally from distributor Sektor, this slick device consolidates multiple front-door functions into a single unit managed via the Alta cloud.

Alta Intercom Touch integrates a 5MP wide-angle camera with infrared night capability and AI-based analytics, alongside a touchscreen interface that provides a directory for visitor lookup and call handling.

Visitors can locate occupants, initiate calls and request access, while authorised users can remotely verify identity and grant entry via the Alta platform. This combination of intercom, video verification and access control is intended to simplify entry management while improving visibility at the perimeter.

Access flexibility is a core element of the system. The integrated reader supports Apple Wallet credentials, mobile app-based access and physical cards, allowing sites to manage multiple user types without additional hardware. Avigilon’s Wave to Unlock function enables touch-free entry, reducing reliance on physical interaction at the door while maintaining controlled access.

Audio performance is handled via noise-cancelling microphones and a 3W speaker, supporting clear 2-way communication in high-traffic or outdoor environments. The inclusion of a built-in controller reduces the need for separate door control hardware, streamlining installation and lowering system complexity.

The unit is designed for external deployment, with an IK08 vandal resistance rating and IP65 weather protection. Power is delivered via PoE+, with support for 12V or 24V backup power, providing resilience in the event of primary power loss. The interface can be customised to suit building branding and directory requirements, aligning the device with tenant or site-specific needs.

As part of the broader Alta ecosystem, the Intercom Touch connects with video security, access control, visitor management and AI-driven monitoring functions under a single cloud-managed platform.
