AMTAC Professional Services has won a Queensland Government contract to supply its WasteID IoT sensor for commercial and domestic applications.

“We are honoured to announce that our WasteID IoT sensor project is now proudly supported by the Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland initiative,” said Amtac’s Rick Draper.

“We have received an Advance Queensland Knowledge Transfer Partnership grant, in association with Griffith University, to design and produce low cost, locally manufactured, wirelessly connected sensors to monitor liquid waste in commercial and domestic applications to improve efficiency, accountability and environmental value.”

WasteID is a powerful and convenient framework for tracking, monitoring and managing waste, as well as the servicing of waste-related assets. It is built on Amtac’s QR2id Service, which underpins other similar applications, such as WasteLocate used by the NSW Environment Protection Authority.

Amtac has its foundations in the provision of risk management and crime prevention advice, and has been developing web-applications for in-house projects and to assist its clients since the mid-1990s.

Dedicated web-application clients have included the NSW Environment Protection Authority, education departments in both South Australian and New South Wales, the Victorian Government, Royal Flying Doctor Service (Qld), TD Bank (Canada), the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Queensland Network of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (QNADA), DRUG ARM, and Transport for NSW (TfNSW).  ♦
