Assura Group Implements Nx Witness VMS at Aeralife Northpoint In Melbourne.
Assura Group Implements Nx Witness VMS – Assura Group Australia has successfully delivered a new video surveillance upgrade at Aeralife Northpoint.
The new video surveillance solution includes Nx Witness Video Management System (VMS) alongside ACTi video encoders to integrate existing infrastructure into a streamlined and intelligent platform.
Northpoint is a modern residential care facility in Epping, Melbourne, offering expansive interiors, natural light, and views of surrounding wetlands and the Edgars Creek Trail. The technology upgrade was designed to complement this contemporary environment while enhancing safety and operational oversight.
Assura’s team integrated the site’s existing security cameras into the Nx Witness platform, creating a unified video management system that improves monitoring performance and simplifies administration. According to Assura’s Scott D’Arcy, the result is “a reliable, intelligent video management solution that enhances both monitoring efficiency and system performance”.
The deployment of ACTi Corporation’s video encoders allowed existing analogue feeds to be retained and managed within the new digital architecture.
“Nx Witness VMS ensures a harmonious blend of technology for a unified security solution,” D’Arcy said. “Our system integrates with existing cameras, IoT devices, and third-party applications.”
Assura Group Australia has more than a decade of experience in the care sector, providing security and technology services with a strong focus on collaboration with facility staff and residents.
The Northpoint project was completed in partnership with national security distributor, ISCS Access Control Systems & CCTV Solutions. D’Arcy acknowledged the efforts of all stakeholders involved, noting the delivery was “on time and to a high standard”.
