SECURITY integrator DTI Group has signed a 5-year framework agreement with rail transport giant, Alstom.
The framework agreement defines general conditions under which the mobile video surveillance solutions provider and Alstom wish to cooperate with regards to equipment design, manufacture, delivery, and services for potential future projects.
Alstom is a French multinational company operating worldwide in rail transport markets, active in the fields of passenger transportation, signalling and locomotives, with products including the AGV, TGV, Eurostar, and Pendolino high-speed trains, in addition to suburban, regional and metro trains, and Citadis trams. Alstom was found in 1928, employs 32,000 globally, and is growing fast, with sales of $E6.2 Billion in 2014 and bookings of $E10 Billion in 2015.
The framework agreement between DTi and Alstom follows several recent contracts awarded to Alstom for mobility projects in different parts of the world. DTI currently has prospective tenders with Alstom showing a strong potential for future collaboration between the 2 companies on future projects.
A framework agreement with Alstom is typically signed after the completion of the first project, but the signing of a framework agreement with DTI was brought forward as both parties considered it beneficial to collaborate and work together more easily on potential future projects. The framework agreement however, does not represent a specific obligation for Alstom or DTI to enter into a future supply or services contract.

The framework agreement was signed at the Innotrans international trade fair in Berlin yesterday by DTI’s managing director, Richard Johnson and Alstom’s sourcing domain director, Jean-Francois Seytre. Also in attendance at the signing was Peter Ironmonger, international operations trade manager at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Jean-Baptiste Nithart, investment commissioner Europe, Austrade, Bob Herbert AM, chairman of the Australasian Railway Association (ARA), Danny Broad, CEO of the ARA, and Laurent Bacqué, commodity manager, Alstom Transport. Innotrans is the world’s largest passenger rail exhibition and will be used to showcase Alstom’s and DTI’s technology.
