Australian Lock Company Releases ROAMLOCK Electronic Master Keying System.
Australian Lock Company Releases ROAMLOCK – Australian Lock Company has released ROAMLOCK, an electronic master key system developed in partnership with South African technology provider YeboTech.
The ROAMLOCK system combines Australian-made mechanical locking hardware with a centrally managed digital access platform designed for large and distributed estates. What’s neat about this system from SEN’s point of view is that it brings the power of enterprise access control to physical keyways.
ROAMLOCK is built around the concept of a programmable electronic key that can replace traditional master key hierarchies. A single key can hold permissions for thousands of locks, with access rights issued, changed or revoked through a web-based management system.
All key and lock activity is logged, providing a full audit trail of access events. The system is designed to operate in connected or disconnected environments, allowing locks to be deployed in remote locations without reliance on permanent network connectivity.
The ROAMLOCK platform consists of a browser-based management application for administering users, roles, permissions, keys and locks, supported by the ROAMSYNC mobile application used for field commissioning, key activation and audit retrieval.
Electronic keys contain an internal power source and real-time clock and hold authorisations locally, allowing them to function offline. Locks are battery free mechatronic devices that record their own audit history, which can be interrogated using an authorised key.
The system supports a wide range of locking formats including door locks, mortice locks, latch locks, padlocks, oval cylinders and electrical switch control devices. Keys are available in Bluetooth and NFC variants, with newer generation keys supporting wireless charging and mobile synchronisation, while NFC only keys support longer unattended deployment with replaceable batteries.
ROAMLOCK is intended for applications requiring controlled access, traceability and scalability across sectors such as healthcare, utilities, logistics, government and critical infrastructure. Local manufacturing supports compatibility with Australian door and lock standards, while the digital layer enables consistent access policy enforcement across large estates.
