Axis Acquires LPR Developer – Axis Communications has acquired LPR provider, FF Group, strengthening Axis’ position in traffic and transport security applications.
The acquisition brings FF Group’s analytics capability into Axis’ network video portfolio and expands its capacity to deliver data-driven traffic intelligence.
“The market for traffic applications is growing,” said Axis Communications CEO Ray Mauritsson. “Acquiring FF Group will strengthen our competitiveness, knowledge, and capabilities in license plate verification, further solidifying our leadership in the industry.”
FF Group is headquartered in Prague and is known for licence plate verification and road event analysis technologies. Axis said the acquisition enhances its toolbox for developing traffic solutions and extends its analytics capability beyond traditional video surveillance into broader transport intelligence applications.
