The Baxall Vivid range of DVRs takes full advantage of the new JPEG2000 compression technology to give better picture quality at lower storage rates. With most DVRs on the market there will normally be a trade off between picture quality and storage, but Baxall claims Vivid wins hands down on picture quality (images are sharper and less blurred), plus it can actually reduce drive sizes by 30%. There are three models (Vivid Lite, Vivid, Vivid+) each has 6, 10, 16 camera inputs and a range of HDD size options from 80GB to 1TB. Archive options include and internal CD or DVD writer alternatively, all models have a USB port on the front of the unit so a USB stick can be used to archive to. Baxall’s new ICE range, will shortly replace all Baxall’s existing cameras and will be seen for the very first time at IFSEC. The company’s extensive camera range will be rationalised and updated, with a new modern design, smaller size and superior picture quality. Product codes have also been adjusted to make ordering far simpler for customers. Baxall’s DestinyT-IP X-Stream range of products which supports ultra high quality MPEG4 video compression will be on display at IFSEC along with IP PC Controller ‘virtual matrix’ software, to demonstrate unlimited scalability and flexibility. Also being previewed at IFSEC is Baxall’s three-axis mini domes, which have been designed to be installer friendly, easily accessible and easily maintained.
