BGA Security Installs Avigilon Alta For EC Markets – Ryde-based security installer, BGA Security has completed a cloud-based security installation for EC Markets at Barangaroo.
The application deploys Avigilon Alta H6M Mini Dome cameras supplied by Sektor and an Axis Communications I8116-E video intercom. The system replaces traditional onsite hardware with a cloud-native architecture that supports remote monitoring, reduced physical infrastructure and simplified administration.
Ben Griffiths, account manager at BGA Security, said the client’s decision to adopt a cloud approach was driven by operational efficiency.
“The client opted to leverage cloud technology for their security needs, reducing the amount of onsite equipment while also benefiting from the flexibility and efficiency of cloud managed solutions,” Griffiths said.
The installation uses Alta H6M Mini Dome cameras in compact indoor and outdoor variants, available in 2MP and 5MP models with optional IR illumination. Each unit includes onboard storage matched to the required retention period, providing local recording alongside cloud management. The cameras are manufactured in North America using NDAA-compliant components and suit a wide range of environments through selectable lens, IR and housing options.
Door security is handled by Axis I8116-E video intercoms. These unit deliver 5MP video with audio, deep-learning analytics support, SIP compatibility and built-in cybersecurity features. Its 48mm mullion-width form factor supports installation on frames and doorways, with PoE power for lock control, video and audio through a single cable. The device’s adjustable I/O ports allow integration with access control systems.
BGA Security designed and delivered the project using its cloud-first approach to physical security. Founded in 2021, the company specialises in electronic security, networking and cloud-managed systems.
According to Griffiths, the BGA Security team incorporates technical design, installation and lifecycle support into each deployment, focusing on tailored solutions for commercial and enterprise environments.
