BGW Technologies Distributing Dell Poweredge Servers

Dell Technologies’ Poweredge XR11 and XR12 expandable, ruggedised and certified servers are now available from BGW Technologies.

According to BGW Technologies’ Mark Shannon, the Dell Technologies PowerEdge XR11 & XR12 servers offer 3rd generation Intel Xeon scalable processors and are built for challenging environments, including telecommunications, military, retail, and restaurants.

“The XR11 servers allowing integrators to innovate at scale with challenging and emerging workloads, while PowerEdge XR12 is a ruggedized, marine compliant 2U server that’s only 400mm deep,” Shannon said.

“The XR12 has the ability to boost services at the edge thanks to 36 x 86 cores, support for accelerators, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, persistent memory and up to 6 drives.

“Importantly for serious applications requiring long life, it’s certified rugged for telco and defence applications, including dust, extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, and other environmental challenges.”

The XR12 has reduced depth and front and rear port options that support reverse air flow, giving administrators new flexibility without expensive retrofits or HVAC updates.

Benefits of Dell Poweredge servers include:

• Platform security features including Secured Component Verification and Silicon Root of Trust
• Cyber resilience, like OpenManage Secure Enterprise Key Manager and Automatic Certificate Enrolment
• Intelligence, automation, and recovery tools that include iDRAC9 Telemetry, BIOS live scanning, and Rapid OS recovery.
