Cambium Networks’ cnMatrix series Switch, distributed locally by Hills, provides affordable and easy to use cloud managed switching.
“Unlike most Enterprise Cloud Management systems in the market, cnMatrix switches can be managed free of cost through Cambium’s cnMaestro Essentials Cloud Management platform which eliminates additional subscription fees,” said Hills’ Carl Jefferys. “Additionally, cnMaestro works with both wired and wireless offerings from Cambium which makes cloud management easy, flexible and affordable.
“The cnMatrix series of switches deliver full layer 2 and layer 3 capabilities with enhanced security access. All models of the cnMatrix series include security features such as 802.1x authentication, DHCP snooping and RADIUS authorisation which is beneficial when dealing with servers.”
Jeffreys said what makes the cnMatrix so effortless to use is its free of charge policy based automation (PBA) feature.
“PBA runs with the end goal of enhancing network performance and user satisfaction by automating necessary zero touch configuration and network access policies,” he explained. “PBA saves time and deployment costs due to its automation in adding, moving, and changing edge devices – which also decreases deployment costs due to a reduction in manual errors.
“What’s more is that PBA can be used with a wide range of devices such as video surveillance cameras and Wi-Fi access points thanks to its versatility. It is commonly used in K-12 schools, hotels, office environments, and anywhere that diverse IP devices require network connectivity and power.”
Cambium Networks has been working with Hills for a long time, according to Jeffreys.
“What Hills values in the long relationship that we have had with Cambium is the ever-expanding portfolio to address emerging markets,” he said.
“From point-to-point microwave for Telco backhaul to enterprise Wi-Fi and switching to the latest 60GHz millimetre wave technologies, Cambium has leading technology along with the over-arching management systems.”
