CCTV For Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery – Octopus Investments Australia is seeking site security, perimeter fencing and CCTV for its new solar farm and battery at Blind Creek.
Tenders for perimeter fencing and site security are due October 1, 2025, electrical supplies, fibre optics and AC/DC works are due November 3, 2025, while CCTV and commissioning close on December 1, 2025.
Located at Bungendore in NSW, approximately 32 kilometres north-east of Canberra, the project will deliver a 300MW AC/370MW DC solar farm and a DC-coupled 243MW/486MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system.
Octopus Investments Australia is the local subsidiary of UK-based Octopus Group and manages investment funds for large-scale renewable energy projects. Its local portfolio exceeds $11 billion and includes the 333MW Darlington Point Solar Farm and the 180MW Dulacca Wind Farm.
The solar and battery facility will be delivered using a split contracting approach. Gransolar Construction Australia is the appointed EPC contractor, responsible for the solar farm, with BESS handling the balance of plant and commissioning. Meanwhile, Transgrid will manage the 330kV grid connection works.
This CCTV For Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery closes on December 1 – note that other work packages including site security and perimeter fencing close earlier. There’s no mention of access control or intrusion alarms – whether these elements are bound up in site security requirements is a question to ask.
