Covert Surveillance At SAGE
Covert Surveillance At SAGE – as part of the ASIS ACT seminars to be held alongside SAGE at the Realm Hotel this Thursday, November 17, Julian Claxton of Jayde Consulting will conduct an open-floor discussion on covert surveillance – pre-register here.
Claxton’s 11am presentation is titled ‘It’s All About You: An open floor discussion on covert surveillance’ and he invites end users, integrators and consultants bring their thorniest covert surveillance questions and challenges to the seminar.
“Opening the discussion to the floor will provide a dynamic approach to conversations surrounding covert surveillance,” Claxton said. “I encourage attendees to think about how they or their organisation is affected by covert surveillance, or where vulnerabilities might exist that could promote nefarious behaviour.
“To open, I’ll provide a contextual overview on my background as an investigator and former covert surveillance operative, followed by an update on my more recent experience as a technical surveillance countermeasures specialist and insider threat advisor. I’ll also refer to the reasons I feel that behavioural intelligence is critical when assessing insider threats – that is, understanding the mindset of internal threat actors who place covert surveillance, and why.”
Claxton said the next 40 minutes would be dedicated to answering questions from the floor on one of the most challenging elements of site protection.

“Bring your covert surveillance questions to the seminar and I’ll answer them from the point of view of 3 decades of experience – I’m very much looking forward to seeing you all at SAGE on Thursday,” Claxton said.
SAGE is a free event – pre-register here and simply attend the seminar of your choice after collecting your badge from registration.
