Daintree River Ferry Needs CCTV For Landside Infrastructure.
Daintree River Ferry Needs CCTV – Douglas Shire Council is replacing the Daintree River Ferry and undertaking a landside infrastructure upgrade, including CCTV.
Douglas Shire Council is replacing the existing Daintree River Ferry crossing in Far North Queensland with a longer and wider 4-lane ferry that it says will reduce river crossing wait times by 90 per cent.
To ensure the required efficiency outcomes of traffic movement across the river, there is a requirement to undertake landside infrastructure civil works.
Relevant components of the works for electrical contractors and security people include electrical and communications ducting and cable supply, boom gates and control systems, street lighting and CCTV, and conformance testing.
This Daintree River Ferry tender closes on February 15, 2025. You can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
