Dedrone Selected for Land 156 Programme For Australian Army, Builds National CUAS Network.
Dedrone Selected for Land 156 Programme – Dedrone has confirmed its selection for Phase 1 of the Australian Army’s Land 156 programme, continuing its expansion across the country with active counter-drone deployments in every state and territory.
Over the past 18 months, the company has established Australia’s first fully networked CUAS capability, working in partnership with federal and state agencies to deliver scalable, integrated solutions designed to meet the Commonwealth’s operational requirements.
“This latest contract reinforces the trust already placed in Dedrone by the Commonwealth to provide Australia with its first genuinely national and networked counter-drone capability,” said Ash Alexander-Cooper OBE, Dedrone’s Vice President EMEA & APAC.
“It’s especially exciting to collaborate with exceptional local industry partners, including Thales Australia, Saab Australia, Supacat ANZ, MCS, Silentium Defence, and EOS, to deliver modular, mobile and mission-ready solutions tailored to Australia’s evolving security and Defence requirements.”
Dedrone has the largest domestic and international CUAS footprint in its class, and the company’s approach is focused on integrated, multi-sensor airspace security at scale. It recently partnered with Thales to deploy a mobile CUAS capability aboard the Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle.
“We’re proud to have been selected as part of the Land 156 programme and to be working in partnership with Australia’s DoD to field the next generation of counter-drone capabilities required for the modern battlefield,” Alexander-Cooper said.
Dedrone’s CUAS systems combine AI-driven detection, multi-layered sensor fusion, and scalable command and control to protect fixed, temporary, or mobile assets in contested airspace environments.
