DroneShield Secures $A7.6m U.S. Government Contract For Handheld Counter-Drone Systems.
DroneShield Secures $A7.6m U.S. Government Contract – DroneShield has secured a new $7.6 million order comprising 3 standalone contracts with the U.S. Government for handheld counter-drone systems with delivery scheduled for Q4 2025.
The contract comes as DroneShield is progressing with a production expansion program aimed at increasing annual capacity from $A500 million to $2.4 billion by the end of 2026. This includes new assembly operations in Europe and the United States.
This latest contract follows earlier orders from the U.S. Government, including $5.7 million in May 2024 and $7.9 million in September 2025. DroneShield has also recently delivered a $62 million contract in Europe.
Year-to-date, the company has received 78 purchase orders with a median value of approximately $400,000, compared to 66 orders with a median value of $200,000 through 2024. Revenue growth during 2025 will see the company raise the threshold for announcing new orders in 2026 from $5 million to $20 million, unless there is additional justification for disclosure.
Its handheld counter-drone systems form part of a broader portfolio, which now includes vehicle-mounted and fixed-site solutions. These systems integrate multiple sensors and effectors managed through DroneShield software to provide a layered approach to drone detection and defeat.
In October, DroneShield launched RFAI-ATK, a new AI-enabled drone defeat capability, which is now in trial with customers. A SaaS rollout of the system is scheduled for mid-2026.
