DSC PG9945 PowerSeries PowerG Contact — The DSC PG9945 PowerSeries PowerG door/window contact with auxiliary input is designed to secure perimeter entry points such as windows and doors.
Using PowerG wireless technology, the PG9945 provides reliable, supervised communication with PowerSeries Neo security systems, as well as Qolsys alarm panels, such as the IQ 4. PowerG technology uses multichannel, frequency-hopping spread spectrum to prevent interference and signal blocking.
PowerG’s adaptive transmission power preserves battery life, offering up to 8 years of typical use from a single 3V CR123A lithium battery. Communication range extends to approximately 2000 metres line-of-sight, protected by 128-bit AES encryption against digital threats.
The PG9945 features a visible link quality LED indicator, assisting installers in identifying the best installation location without reference to the keypad. Device configuration is simplified through the system keypad, eliminating the need to physically reopen the device for adjustments.
An auxiliary input enhances installation versatility by allowing connection of standard hardwired contacts configured as normally open, normally closed, or single end-of-line. This is beneficial in scenarios with limited space or challenging installation conditions. SEN should report a bias towards this sensor – we’ve used one in a home system with zero false alarms and no faults.
Specifications include compact dimensions of 81 x 34 x 25 mm, lightweight construction at 53 grams, and operational performance within a temperature range of -10 to 55C. The DSC PG9945 PowerSeries PowerG Contact meets regulatory approvals including FCC/IC, UL/ULC, and CSFM certification for residential fire applications.
