Dubbo Council Tenders For Design and Upgrade of Public CCTV System

0

DUBBO Regional Council is inviting tenders for the design and upgrade of council’s public surveillance solution.

In late 2017 Dubbo regional councillor Dayne Gumley called for the expansion and upgrade of the cameras to be considered as part of council’s 2018/19 budget. At the time an investigation of the expansion of the CCTV system was unanimous among councillors at the October council meeting under the proviso they did not infringe on residents’ personal privacy by being installed in residential areas.

Mayor Ben Shields said the security cameras, especially when they were highly visible, had been proven to work. Cr Shields said he wanted the cameras to be highly publicised to ensure people knew they were being watched.

Tenders for the upgrade will be accepted up to 10:00am on Tuesday, 9 April 2019 and submissions must be fully received by this time. The Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit.

Dubbo Regional Council has a Local Purchasing Policy. Please refer to the tender documentation for details. Late, verbal or emailed tenders will not be accepted. Ω
