Electronic Fingerprint Capture For WAPOL RFI Released.
Electronic Fingerprint Capture For WAPOL – Western Australia Police Force has issued a request for information (RFI) seeking market input on an electronic fingerprint capture solution.
This initiative aims to explore available technologies that can enhance fingerprint capture and processing across WA Police Force operations. WAPOL is seeking information on system capabilities, deployment options, and integration potential to ensure the selected solution aligns with operational demands.
WA Police Force is responsible for policing the world’s largest single police jurisdiction, covering 2.5 million square kilometres. With more than 9500 officers and 150 police stations across 8 metropolitan and 7 regional districts, the agency requires a reliable and efficient fingerprint capture system to support law enforcement operations.
An online briefing session will be held on Wednesday, 26 March 2025, at 1pm Perth time via Microsoft Teams. This session will provide market participants with an overview of the WA Police Force’s requirements and allow for engagement on the proposed solution framework.
Interested participants must register by 4pm on Monday, 24 March 2025, by contacting Kristy McLean at kristy.mclean@police.wa.gov.au. A meeting invitation with access details will be provided to confirmed participants.
This electronic fingerprint capture for WAPOL RFI closes on April 16 – you can find out more here or read more SEN news here.
