SECTECH Camera Shootout, which runs alongside SecTech Roadshow in 5 state capitals during May (pre-register here) is warming up with the first participants announced for 2 categories – Best Low Light Camera category and 180-Degree Wide-Angle Camera category.

The Best Low Light Camera category at SecTech Camera Shootout is an open category, with any form factor and any resolution accepted. The Best Wide-Angle Camera category is open to multi-head cameras and hemispherics. This latter group will be arguably the most challenging camera group we’ve tested at SecTech.

Pelco will enter the IMM12027-1ES in the Best Low Light Camera category and the EVO-180-WID-P in the Best Wide-Angle Camera Category; Vivotek will enter the IP9165-HT in the Best Low Light Category and the 2-MS9321-EHV 20MP Panoramic camera in the Best Wide-Angle Category.

Panasonic will enter the WV-S1531LN (Bullet camera) and WV-S2531N (Dome camera) in the Best Low Light Category and the WV-X8570L (Multi-sensor – 4x4k) in the Best Wide-Angle Category.

SecTech Camera shootout is being managed using Milestone XProtect VMS and the commissioning process will take place at Milestone’s Melbourne office April 10-11.

Contenders are yet to be announced from other participants in this year’s shootout, including Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Sony and Dallmeier. Any camera manufacturers wanting to add cameras to SecTech Shootout should email info@bridgepublishing.com.au
