FSH Adds Status Indicator To FSH FEM4300M Series Monitored Maglocks.

FSH Adds Status Indicator To FSH FEM4300M – FSH has added high visibility status indication to its FSH FEM4300M Series monitored maglocks, following customer feedback seeking clearer visual confirmation of door and lock state in rugged operational environments.

According to Meg Shaw, national business development manager – Electronics Division at FSH, the flagship FEM4300M Series now includes a high-visibility red and green LED indicator.

We’ve listened to customer feedback and made a small but meaningful enhancement to our flagship FSH FEM4300M Series Monitored Maglocks — now featuring a high-visibility red/green LED to show door and lock status at a quick glance,” Shaw said.

This slim, unobtrusive LED design keeps the clean look you expect, while adding a simple visual indicator that makes a big difference in the field.

The FEM4300M Series of monitored electromagnetic locks are typically used on controlled doors in commercial and institutional facilities. They provide secure holding force with integrated door position and lock monitoring outputs for connection to access control and security systems.

The addition of the high visibility LED improves door status confirmation without changing lock form factor or installation method and enhances day-to-day operations for facility staff, security teams, installers, and first responders working in low-light or high-pressure conditions.

Shaw said the change was designed to address practical operational needs.

Visual status indication means security teams can quickly confirm locked or unlocked status in low-light or high-stress situations,” she explained. “It means security and building operations teams can speed up routine checks and troubleshooting with a quick visual sweep. At the same time, installers can confirm wiring, power, and lock state during commissioning and maintenance at a glance, saving time and reducing labour costs.

An additional update standardises factory configuration.

There’s a bonus improvement – the new models now come factory preset to 12V DC, helping streamline setup right out of the box,” Shaw said.

Product codes have been updated to reflect the new hi-vis LED models – the FEM4300M becomes FEM4300M-HV, and FEM4300DM becomes FEM4300DM-HV. Updated units are available now and will ship with new orders.
