Gallagher Charity Golf Day Warms Hearts By Protecting Children.
Gallagher Charity Golf Day Warms Hearts – Gallagher’s Charity Golf Day raised $A42,530 to support Australian child protection organisation, Bravehearts.
More than 100 players, including the Gallagher Security Australia team and channel partners, end users, technology partners, and consultants took to the green at The Palms Golf Course at Sanctuary Cove in Queensland to raise funds for Bravehearts as it continues its work in preventing and treating of child sexual abuse, a crime that affects 1 in 4 Australian children.
According to Gallagher Security events specialist for Australia, Nicola Johnson, after last year’s successful inaugural event, which saw more than $13,500 raised for Bravehearts, the Gallagher team decided to raise the bar, doubling the number of participants, and tripling the number of sponsors.
“We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors and attendees who dug deep to get behind such a worthy cause, and we are proud to say we significantly exceeded our fundraising target, more than tripling last year’s total,” Johnson said.

As a not-for-profit organisation operating for more than 25 years, Bravehearts relies on the support and fundraising initiatives of companies and individuals to enable them to continue the work they do in the community.
Gallagher Security executive vice president for Asia Pacific (APAC) and India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA), Craig Schutte said the Gallagher team was committed to providing continued support for the critical work Bravehearts does.
“As a company passionate about protecting what matters most and ensuring people are at the heart of everything we do, there is an obvious synergy between Gallagher’s and Bravehearts’ values,” Schutte said.
“We were thrilled to be back on the green, and grateful for the support of our sponsors and participants who got behind this year’s bigger and better event.”
Bravehearts CEO Alison Geale said Bravehearts’ mission is the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse and the team relies heavily on funding and fundraising to ensure it can deliver on this goal.
“We are deeply grateful to Craig, the team at Gallagher Security, and their partners as we work together to protect what matters most, children,” Geale said. “The funds raised from the Gallagher Security Golf Day will go towards our work in raising awareness of child sexual abuse and our services.”
