Griffith University Seeks Security Services – Griffith University has released an expression of interest seeking providers to deliver electronic security and security services across its 5 Queensland campuses, including Gold Coast, Brisbane South (Nathan), Brisbane City (South Bank),Brisbane South (Mt Gravatt) and Logan.
The university is seeking suppliers capable of supporting campus safety and operations through alarm and emergency help call response, CCTV surveillance where required, and the management of critical and acute incidents.
The scope includes support for event security, physical penetration vulnerability assessments, and the provision of specialist advice in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design to inform risk mitigation and site planning.
Beyond electronic security and incident response, the supplier will be responsible for daily security operations including patrolling, traffic and parking compliance, escort services, and the locking and unlocking of buildings and rooms.
This security services role also includes reception and information duties, supervision of security staff, mental health first aid response and management, general first aid, and fire alarm isolations – it’s the full suite of security and safety operations and more besides.
Griffith University says the security supplier must accept full responsibility for delivery of these services as an integrated campus security function, so this is a major contract.
