HANWHA Techwin Wisenet 5 chipset, which drives the Wisenet X camera series offers 150dB WDR performance and clear images in extreme low light conditions. A convenient USB port is also available for easy setup and installation.
The new Wisenet 5 chipset “will define a new standard in the market on video cameras—this is the next revolution of video surveillance in cameras,” Tom Cook, vice president of sales for North America at Hanwha Techwin said.
“Our R&D team, which is about 650-strong, have been developing this new chip set that we are proud to say will take the video market to another level.”
The Wisenet X series is a new product line that features 27 models split up between 2MP and 5MP camera lines. Other notable key features include license-free audio and video analytics, dual SD card slot for increased onboard storage and image stabilization using gyro sensors.
Wisenet X cameras also combine H.265 compression and WiseStream II, a complementary compression technology that “dynamically controls encoding, balancing quality and compression according to movement in the image,” according to the company.
“Data reduction of up to 99 percent can be achieved with Wisenet X series cameras,” said Cook. “The analytics include audio analysis function that recognizes critical sounds, such as gunshots, explosions, screams, and broken glass, and then immediately issues an alarm.” ♦
