HID Amico 7-Inch Facial Recognition Reader – The HID Amico 7-inch facial recognition terminal (VL70LF) is a Linux-based multimodal reader designed for secure authentication at access points.
Built around Paravision’s facial recognition engine, the device supports face recognition with liveness detection, mobile access, QR codes, MIFARE/DESFire card technologies, and PIN. Integration is via OSDP, Wiegand, RS-485, Ethernet, or optional Wi-Fi. The unit is IP65-rated and supports both 12VDC and PoE power.
The Amico VL70LF includes a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display with 600 x 1024 resolution, an integrated RGB camera with 2MP sensor and IR LED for facial recognition, and a dedicated anti-spoofing module. The camera supports facial recognition at up to 1.8 metres with an angle tolerance of 30 degrees (yaw and pitch), while operating temperature range is -20 to 55C.
Storage supports up to 50,000 facial templates with 200,000 event logs. The reader incorporates 2 Wiegand interfaces, 2 RS-485 ports, 1 Ethernet port, and offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options. It includes tamper detection and supports a wide range of credential formats.
