Honeywell will provide an integrated sitewide security system for Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Resort, including a fully integrated access control system, CCTV, key safes, mobile duress systems, sitewide radio and intrusion security systems.
The integrated resort development being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium will feature 3 hotel towers with more than 1000 rooms, a number of residential apartment towers with up to 2000 apartments, as well as a new pedestrian bridge, and gaming and entertainment facilities.
The Honeywell security solution is the first part of the sitewide security project that will cover the main gaming floors, podium, car park and the Neville Bonner Bridge. According to Honeywell, its security technology will help create a more seamless user experience from carpark, all the way to the VIP casino floors and all the spaces in between.
“Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is a massive and unique project that is bringing together repurposed heritage buildings with the latest in contemporary architecture,” said Tom Bain of Honeywell Building Technologies.
“Given the size and scope of the project, it is imperative to incorporate integrated security system planning early to help make for a more seamless and frictionless building experience for both the operators and occupants.”
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Resort is expected to fully open in the first half of 2023.
