How Does HALO Smart Sensor Work – Dicker Data DAS and IPVideo Corp will reveal the full capabilities of HALO Smart Sensors.

According to DAS’ Chris Murray, HALO 3C is a smart sensor the can handle gunshot detection, noise alerts, and emergency key word alerting, push notifications of any alert, panic button, 2-way audio comms, indoor air quality, emergency escape indication, alert lighting, motion detection and people counting.

“LED coloured lighting options can be programmed to show escape routes for safety, such as a red, yellow, and green pattern, or can show different colours for different alerts, such as purple for air quality alerts, or blue for health alerts,” Murray said.

“The sensor monitors chemicals like ozone, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, nitrogen dioxide, as well as PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles.”

The sensor and its software also provide critical automated reports that allow building owners and administrators to demonstrate they are providing a healthy indoor environment and/or validate that facility improvements are needed.

But the sensing capabilities of the HALO smart sensor and the complexity and power of its reporting software can make it hard for users to understand just how capable this sensor really is, when it comes to security operations.
