Hybrid Security Operations Centre For Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Hybrid Security Operations Centre – Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has issued a forward procurement notice for an upcoming tender of managed services to support a hybrid security operations centre (SOC).

The future engagement will seek an experienced provider to collaborate with TMR’s in-house cyber defence team, delivering continuous security monitoring, cyber incident response, SIEM platform management, and support for future security planning.

Services are expected to run 24/7/365, aligning with the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance its cyber security posture and operational resilience.

TMR oversees a vast portfolio of responsibilities across Queensland, including the management of the state’s roads, rail, ports, and active transport systems. The department supports more than 33,000 km of state-controlled roads and facilitates integrated passenger and freight transport services. With critical infrastructure spanning metropolitan and remote regions, TMR plays a key role in supporting economic development, regional connectivity, and public safety throughout the state.

We’re slotting this tender in because as a hybrid SoC it appears to support security monitoring of alarm and access control systems in physical locations, as well as handling cyber security monitoring and incident response.

This Hybrid Security Operations Centre tender closes on August 24 – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
