i-PRO APAC Juggles Talent

♦ i-PRO APAC juggles talent – i-PRO’s APAC team has announced the appointments of Wayne Braysford to the role of business development manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory; Matt Cox to the role of national sales engineer – Hardware; and Andrew Bodger as business development manager for Western Australia and South Australia.

All 3 are newly-created positions, rounding out the Australian team and ensuring that i-PRO has experience and expertise across all states and territories in Australia.

The company has also announced the transitions of Matt Terrey and Chris Larson who move across from Panasonic i-PRO, joining Oceania Director Marius Van Der Merwe.

Matt Terrey assumes the role of national manager for sales and business development, and Chris Larson becomes national sales engineer – Software and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

“These resources reaffirm our commitment to the region, adding a lot of critical industry knowledge to our team,” said Marius Van Der Merwe, director – i-PRO APAC (Oceania).

“When we set up i-PRO as an independent organisation in APAC, the Oceania region was identified as a very important growth market and we are now focused on putting the right pieces on the table in order to capitalise on that market potential.”

Meanwhile, Matt Terrey spent more than 3 years as BDM at Panasonic, following a storied career as a security and tech consultant. He specialises in IP CCTV Solutions, Edge AI and intelligent solutions for medium to enterprise level customers. Terrey will run the sales and business development team for i-PRO’s Oceania operations.

Christopher Larson transitions from Panasonic to i-PRO with over 10 years of engineering experience specialising across VMS, analytics, systems integration, networking and solutions architecture. Larsen has extensive experience working with global enterprise. Larson’s career has taken him to more than 47 countries, working on enterprise projects, training, and onsite professional services. Prior to joining Panasonic in 2018, he spent 6 years at Milestone Systems.

“Having Matt and Chris move across to the new i-PRO team is hugely important, as it gives us both continuity and two of the very best operators in the video security industry in Australia,” said Van Der Merwe.

Andrew Bodger joins the team as BDM, following senior roles at Centari and Telstra, as well as being contracted to the US Department of Defence as a satellite communication and audio-visual expert.

“I saw i-PRO as a progressive company with great technology and a focus on improvement and growth,” Bodger said. “Having worked with large global corporations in the past I felt this was an opportunity that would offer the challenges I enjoy.”

Meanwhile, Matt Cox has worked on many government, defence, mining, transport, telco, deployments across Australia, as well as a host of large commercial and industrial projects.

Cox has both technical and practical experience coupled with qualifications and certifications in fibre optics, structured cabling, testing, electronic security systems and multiple VMS systems.

Wayne Braysford spent 12 years in the British military working across various countries and environments in the communication space, including time spent in active service. He since gained significant experience working on large projects including the UK’s largest SDH/PDH network as a senior network controller, and more recently in Australia on projects for local councils including Brisbane City Council, and as a network and web traffic specialist.

“I already feel part of the team at i-PRO and have worked on solutions with them for several years now,” Braysford said. “When the chance came to join i-PRO, I felt that if you love a product or company so much, why not work for them?”
