ICT Releases Upgraded 5A and 10A Power Supply Units – ICT has released upgraded 5-amp and 10-amp power supply units (PSUs), retaining the same physical format as the outgoing 4A and 8A models while introducing a redesigned internal architecture to enhance performance and ease of use.
The new ICT PSUs are designed to support a wider range of connected devices per unit, offering improved return on investment in larger or more complex installations. Installation is simplified by a plug-and-play capability, while an LED status display provides immediate operational feedback. There’s also built-in RS-485 to simplify internal system comms.
Equipped with a built-in battery charger and battery backup, these units ensure uninterrupted power during outages. Even in extended outages, hassle-free battery replacement keeps Protege systems running smoothly, while intelligent charging capabilities optimize performance.
Battery replacement has also been made easier, ensuring minimal disruption during maintenance or power events, and the housing remains enclosed for physical durability and protection. As part of a broader update strategy, the new 5A model will replace the 4A unit and the 10A model will replace the 8A once existing stock is exhausted.
