Johnson Controls Wins $A188 million Main Roads WA Contract

JOHNSON Controls has extended its reach into Western Australia following the announcement it has won the approximately $188 million 5-year Main Roads WA state-wide electrical infrastructure services contract in conjunction with Ventia through Venture Smart.

The partnership will deliver asset management, infrastructure design and construction services across Western Australia’s entire road network with Venture Smart delivering a range of planned and fast response maintenance services to ensure the electrical roadway assets across Western Australia operate at peak performance.

Johnson Controls Transportation and Integrated Controls designs, develops and delivers innovative, integrated solutions for the transportation sector. These solutions include intelligent multimodal traffic systems (ITS) for roadways, and tunnels, integrated monitoring, CCTV and control systems for critical infrastructure and a range of specialised traffic control solutions.

“We are particularly excited to be given the opportunity to work with Main Roads, who are responsible for the delivery and management of a safe and efficient main road network in WA,” said Jordon Peters, general manager service and development at Johnson Controls Transportation and Integrated Controls.

The company built its reputation by delivering advanced UTC and ITS solutions to road and traffic authorities across Australia including NSW Roads and Maritime Services, Transport for NSW, VicRoads and the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads.
