Lavarack Barracks Needs Fire Safety, Doors, Bollards, Emergency Lighting

Australia’s Department of Defence – DSRG – is seeking a range of fire safety, lighting, bollards, doors and other works to be undertaken at Australia’s largest army base, Lavarack Barracks, at Townsville in Queensland.

Lavarack Barracks is currently home to the Army’s 3rd Brigade and 11th Brigade. Elements of the 3rd Brigade based at the Barracks include the Combat Signals Regiment, 3rd Combat Services Support Battalion, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the Royal Australian Regiment and the 2nd Cavalry Regiment

Lavarack Barracks is a substantial base and incorporates the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment.

Works required include fire safety compliance works to egress, architectural services, switchboard, fire services, hydraulic services, building certification services, electrical services (emergency lighting), door modification works, structural services (grating, balustrades and bollards) and security services.
