CHIEF financial officer at Mobotix, Klaus Kiener, has increased EBIT forecast after strong MOBOTIX sales for the first 6 months of this financial year.
MOBOTIX AG ended the first half 2018/19 with a strong increase in revenues and EBIT. At $EUD35.4 million, revenues in the first six months of the current fiscal year rose by 11.6 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.
EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) accounted for 6.6 per cent of total operating performance, amounting to $2.3 million for the reporting period. This represents an increase of $3.1 million compared to the same period in the previous year ($0.8 million). The first 6 months of 2018/19 ended with a return on sales of 4.2 per cent, compared to the first 6 months of 2017/18, which was -2.4 per cent.
Kiener forecasts EBIT within a range of approximately EUR 1.4 million to EUR 1.8 million for the fiscal year 2018/19 as a whole and has revised the outlook from 7 May 2019 for the fiscal year 2018/19 of EUR 1.4 million upwards. The forecast for MOBOTIX’s 5-year plan, which envisages sales of at least $100 million and an EBIT margin of 12 per cent by the fiscal year 2022/23, remains unchanged.
The MOBOTIX Management Board sees the positive development of the company as confirmation of the strategy initiated in the fiscal year 2017/18. Among other things, MOBOTIX successfully met the challenges of the industry with the introduction of new camera lines, numerous software innovations, and strategic technology partnerships. In addition, an agreement was signed with Konica Minolta in March 2018 to further develop MOBOTIX hardware and software technology to provide innovative solutions and open up new markets.
