Moreton Bay Regional Council Seeks Security Integrator

Moreton Bay Regional Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced companies for the provision of installations, servicing and repair of security and equipment.

According to MBRC, the works required include installation of security solutions, servicing of existing security solutions and reactive repairs of security solutions, which include its huge video surveillance system. MRBC’s video surveillance solution incorporates more than 800 fixed and PTZ CCTV cameras, and a dedicated 24-hour security control room. 

The Moreton Bay Region is the third largest council area in Australia and one of the fastest developing. It covers business and residential developments coastal settlements, including Redcliffe, Beachmere and Bribie Island, rural townships and mountain villages like Mt Mee, Woodford, Dayboro and Mt Glorious, established areas such as the Hills District, and rapidly expanding urban centres like North Lakes, Morayfield and Narangba.

Council manages all bridges, roads, carparks and pathways, parks, community facilities and buildings, marine facilities (eg. boat ramps, canals, seawalls), sporting facilities and playground equipment, stormwater drainage, disaster management and waste management facilities. Council programs range from building roads and collecting rubbish to providing sporting facilities and promoting the development of art and culture.

The region covers 2037 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 417,000 which is projected to be 533,000 by 2031. MBRC has a total budgeted operating expenditure in 2016/17 of $A377.4 million, and MRBC’s total budgeted community equity at 30 June 2017 is estimated to be $A5.4 billion.
