New Salto DLock Motorised Smart Lock – Salto has released the new DLok residential smart lock, expanding its smart home portfolio with a universal retrofit solution designed for apartments and houses.

The lock is designed to replace mechanical key use with a digital credential managed through the Homelok mobile app, supporting everyday access as well as guest and visitor entry. DLok integrates directly with the Salto Homelok ecosystem to deliver keyless entry, automated locking, and mobile-based access control for residents.

The way DLok works is that residents use a digital key in the Homelok app to control access, eliminating physical keys while enabling remote management of permissions. Integration with the Homelok platform allows DLok to operate as part of a Salto residential environment.

Being retrofit, multiple models and adaptor accessories allow DLok to fit standard residential doors without replacing existing lock hardware or door handles. Salto says installation can be completed in less than 15 minutes using guided visual instructions, with no drilling required. The way it works is that the lock is installed from the interior side of the door and remains invisible from the outside, preserving external door appearance.

DLok has new motor and metallic drive components are certified for more than 50,000 lock cycles. A magnetic calibration sensor replaces mechanical calibration components to improve accuracy and reliability of lock status reporting. Updated electronics introduce semi-automatic calibration combining automated and manual actions to improve performance feedback and operational stability. Meanwhile, a redesigned flat thumbturn provides a modern appearance with a straight visual reference mark to indicate rotation and lock status.
