OpenEye Announces Integration With Patriot – OpenEye has announced an integration with Patriot Systems that allows security video and system health data from OpenEye environments to be transmitted directly into the Patriot Systems monitoring platform.
The integration is designed to support faster and more accurate incident verification for monitoring centres by combining video, analytics and alarm workflows – in SEN’s opinion this is a neat collaboration between 2 proven brands with a solid history of development.
Via the new integration, OpenEye Web Services establishes a secure cloud-to-cloud connection between OpenEye recording devices and Patriot Systems. Video clips, live streams and recorder health information are then accessed within the Patriot interface when events or alerts are triggered. This means operators can visually verify alarm events as they occur, using relevant camera views linked to specific zones allowing the application of more nuanced procedures – including calling the police immediately if an intrusion is confirmed.
According to Ian Siemer, VP of product and marketing at OpenEye the integration is an exciting expansion to the OWS ecosystem, delivering more value to joint customers.
“This integration enables users to leverage the powerful analytics and alerting capabilities of OWS to send video events to the Patriot platform, creating a highly effective incident verification and response solution,” Siemer said.
The integration also supports automated health monitoring, with system status alerts sent from OpenEye Web Services into Patriot Systems. This allows monitoring centres to identify recorder or connectivity issues early and take proactive action to maintain system availability.
According to Jesse Love, national sales manager (APAC) at Patriot Systems, integrating OpenEye’s video verification and live-streaming capabilities into Patriot allows monitoring centres to significantly improve response times and reduce false alarms.
“As well as receiving advanced analytic alarms from cameras, Patriot operators can automatically be presented with the most relevant camera feeds tied to zone events, which provides instant onsite visuals of a site,” Love said.
“OpenEye is also compatible with the Patriot Virtual Guard Tours feature, which is straightforward to setup using a secure P2P ID connection method.”
