OpenEye Expands Cloud Camera Range – OpenEye has expanded its cloud camera range – it’s a notable step for a company better known as a video management and analytics developer.

The release introduces a complete range of OpenEye-branded cameras designed to operate natively within the OpenEye cloud platform, while remaining deployable on third-party systems via standard RTSP streaming.

I’m excited to announce that the advanced OpenEye cloud camera lineup is expanding,” said OpenEye’s Angelo Salvatore. “We now have 6 models available, with 2 more on the way. Turrets, domes, indoor, outdoor, 5MP, 8MP – onboard storage up to 1.5TB and a dedicated AI processor on every unit.”

Importantly, each camera operates independently with its own storage and processing power and there’s no need to be continuously connected to the internet for the system to operate.”

While the cameras are designed to work seamlessly with OpenEye Web Services, they are not locked to the platform.

If you ever leave the cameras are RTSP streaming compatible out of the box,” Salvatore said. “You can redeploy them on any VMS you want – there’s no lock in.”

Importantly, the route to market remains through established and dependable security distribution channels, with availability confirmed through Wesco Anixter Security branches across Australia and New Zealand.

An example of the range is the OE-CC3020D5 5MP Cloud IP Dome Camera, which combines onboard recording, a dedicated analytics processor and direct integration with OpenEye Web Services.

The camera supports 2592 x 1944-pixel resolution at up to 30fps, features a 2.8mm fixed lens with a 97-degree field of view, and is rated IP66 and IK10 for outdoor environments. Power is supplied via PoE 802.3af or 12VDC, and the unit is NDAA compliant, with certifications including UL, CE, FCC and UKCA.
