Rumours are swirling about the integrated security solution to be installed at the Sydney Opera House, with the combination of technologies chosen certain to catapult security management at the site into the 21st century.
While we can’t clarify any specifics just yet, word is the over-arching management system is locally developed and is being used at a number of high security sites across the country. Meanwhile, the combined access control, automation and intrusion detection solution remains up for grabs, with the 2 leading contenders being highly respected local manufacturers – one from Australia, the other from New Zealand.
On the video surveillance side, all the leading players remain in contention, with the selected option likely to provide best integration and performance with other core system components, as well as being open to future development.
