Optic Security Group Recognised for Sunshine Coast Airport Project – Optic Security Group has been recognised with two honours at the 2025 Australian Security Industry Awards, with the company’s Sunshine Coast Airport CCTV upgrade project sharing the ‘Integrated Security Solution (under $500,000)’ category, and group corporate services development manager, Rebecca Sorgiovanni, winning the ‘Unsung Hero (Electronic Security Sector)’ award.
The Sunshine Coast Airport project involved a major VMS upgrade led by Wesley Wyatt, transitioning the site from IndigoVision to Avigilon Unity, and overcoming infrastructure constraints to deliver advanced functionality and AI capabilities.

“Optic Security Group were tasked with undertaking a major VMS transition, utilising existing hardware and infrastructure,” said an airport spokesperson.
