PTA Seeks Railcar Video Surveillance System – Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia has released a tender seeking ongoing maintenance support for its railcar video surveillance system.
The contract covers back-end CCTV software supporting both the electric urban train fleet of around 140 trains and the diesel intrastate fleet, with the latter’s on-board systems managed by PTA. The successful contractor will provide support for digital recording unit software and hardware, offer on-call assistance for footage retrieval after incidents, maintain and repair failed equipment, and deliver regular reporting on the operational status of both on-board and viewing station equipment.
The Public Transport Authority is responsible for overseeing Western Australia’s public transport services across metropolitan and regional networks. This includes the operation and maintenance of rail, bus, and ferry services, as well as infrastructure management and project delivery.
