QOLSYS has received UL 1610 certification for commercial burglary applications and the upgrades that deliver UL1610 are automatically applied to network connected controllers.

Software update 2.3 incorporates UL1610 features specific to business use cases including up to 4 partitions, screen lock, 6-digit passcodes and additional support for PowerG sensors and secondary keypads. PowerG’s two-way wireless communication technology is designed to decrease operational costs for dealers while providing ultimate reliability for end users, according to the announcement.

PowerG devices reliably communicate 4x further than legacy wireless security, reducing the cost of installing additional repeaters to service commercial premises. The wireless protocol includes multichannel, frequency hopping spread spectrum technology, adaptive transmission power for up to 8 years of battery life and 128-bit AES encryption for exceptional protection against digital attacks.

“The UL1610 update allows for application use cases ranging from a large commercial space to residential home,” says Qolsys’ Mike Hackett.

Qolsys solutions are distributed locally by BGW Technologies.
