Qolsys IQ4 NS with PowerG From BGW Technologies.
Qolsys IQ4 NS with PowerG – According to Stanley El Komala, BGW Technologies has launched the new budget-friendly Qolsys IQ4 NS with PowerG, which pairs with the intuitive Alarm.com mobile application, delivering 24/7 alarm monitoring, encrypted security, home automation, LTE cellular and WiFi connections.
“The new IQ4 NS is a great security and automation panel for everywhere from residential homes to apartment buildings and everywhere in between,” El Komala said.
“Programming IQ4 NS couldn’t be easier with the new Qolsys IQ Installer apps that will enable you to reach your systems programming through an app on a smartphone or tablet.
“Once in the app, it feels exactly like programming Qolsys IQ Panel 4, allowing you to adjust all settings and codes for the system. The Installer programming app cannot be used to operate the system, though. You will need either Alarm.com activated on your panel for app control or a secondary keypad (DSCHS2LCDWF4).”
According to El Komala, as with all other Qolsys IQ Panel 4 systems, the IQ4 NS can support up to 128 PowerG wireless devices.
“That means this panel is ideal for those looking to put a new system in or completely overhaul/takeover their current alarm system with a new wireless setup,” he said.
“Those with a wired system can still use IQ4 NS by adding either DSCPG4WLSHW8-ANZ or DSCPG4HRDW8-ANZ for Wired-to-Wireless Takeover module. IQ4 NS also has Alarm.com dual-path communicator and Z-Wave card built-in allowing you to take full advantage of Alarm.com’s interactive, video monitoring, automation ecosystems.”
The IQ4 NS includes PowerG, a powerful 2-way wireless communication technology with features designed to decrease operational costs for dealers while providing ultimate reliability for end users.
PowerG offers multichannel frequency hopping spread spectrum technology enables the system to jump across wireless frequency channels to ensure the seamless transmission of secure communications between the devices and the control panel.
There’s also adaptive transmission power that enables up to 8 years of battery life for the system’s devices and peripherals, reducing battery-replacement incurred costs.
High transmission ranges allow for devices to reliably communicate 4 times further than legacy wireless protocol, lowering or removing the cost of installing additional repeaters to service larger premises. Finally, 128-bit AES encryption offers high levels of protection against analysis tools and digital attacks.
