The successful contractor will be required to provide design and consultation based on best-practice security principles, taking into account Council’s specific site and operational requirements. Solutions are expected to cover CCTV, alarms, access control and mechanical locking, with provision for both new installations and upgrades to existing systems.
Following approval of design submissions, installation services will include the physical deployment of locks, sensors, cameras, access points, cabling, conduits, and integration into the Council’s network. The contractor must also undertake testing and commissioning. While installation is within the scope of this tender, Council retains the option to allocate major installation works to other contractors as part of a broader delivery strategy.
Maintenance services will include both reactive and proactive elements. This includes fault response, equipment repairs, regular camera cleaning, and addressing issues with physical locks. An optional component of the tender involves provision of security patrols and lock/unlock services for council facilities, subject to budget considerations.
