It includes built-in reverse polarity diode protection and comes with a 1-year warranty covering faults in materials or workmanship under normal conditions.

A key feature is its selectable locking mode, which can be field-adjusted from fail-safe (power to lock) to fail-secure (power to open), making it adaptable to different security requirements. The device is continuously rated, operating at a low current draw of 90mA at 12V DC, suitable for ongoing use without overheating.
The Ross compact strike is designed for compatibility with wooden, steel, and aluminium door frames, but installers and locksmiths should note that it’s not suitable for use with mortice locks due to bolt size constraints.
