THE Embassy of Saudi Arabia has called for tenders to supply and install an electronic security solution at the embassy chancery and the ambassador’s residence in Canberra.
The large 2-level site is fenced and has a high security gatehouse entry. Systems likely to be required include alarms, access control and video surveillance, internally and externally, with multiple management workstations.
The Yarralumla site was the scene of a large protest last year after the kingdom executed Nimr Baqr al-Nimr, a Shia cleric critical of the kingdom's treatment of its Shiite minority.
A copy of the tender specifications and requirements can be obtained from the Embassy located at 38 Guilfoyle Street, Yarralumla ACT 2600, or by calling 02 6250 7000 ext. 7019.
Companies wishing to submit a tender are required to provide a bank guarantee with the tender consisting of 1 per cent of its value, valid for a period of 4 months from the date of tender submission.
The tender closes on March 25. ♦
