Halve Cabling Time With Datamaster

Halve cabling time – Datamaster’s bulk CAT5E and CAT6 network cables, and new 1-piece plugs and tools, are now available at DAS and can reduce cable termination time by 40 per cent.

With 36 individual boxes per pallet, Datamaster CAT5E and CAT6 Blue 305m Pallets come with a lifetime warranty, are Fluke-tested and are manufactured to exceed Australian standards.

Both CAT5E and CAT6 pallets are available in yellow and green cable options and are made from 100 per cent oxygen-free copper to maintain premium quality.

The key point of differentiation between the pallets is Datamaster’s CAT5E pallet is made with a 24AWG solid conductor, whereas CAT6 is 23AWG.

“Datamaster’s reel-in-a-box cable selection provides the ultimate in cost-effective, convenient cable packaging – it’s easy to store, transport and dispense, with no snags or tangles,” said Jordan Colman, Datamaster product manager from DAS.

Datamaster has also launched its new CAT6 1-piece push-through plug (P2176QTUJ), used in conjunction with its new crimping tool with cutter (T0019QT). This new tool efficiently cuts wires flat and terminates the plug in 1 action. The tool is backwards-compatible with CAT5E cables, and compliant with Australian standards.

According to Jeff Corr from DAS, installers can benefit significantly from the new accessories.

“Datamaster’s new 1-piece plugs and tool saves about 40 per cent of time across the whole installation when terminating cables,” Corr said. “DAS is excited to be one of the first distributors nationally to offer them.”
